TinySA4 /
Input Curve EditThe input of the tinySA Ultra has two modes. Normal and Ultra each mode has a separate correction curve. Each mode also has a separate correction curve for when the LNA is enabled. The input curve editing assumes an external signal generator, with constant output level (such as -25dBm), that can be set to any of the applicable frequencies, is connected to the input. At activation of the edit function the output level of the generator can be specified using the LEVEL keypad After entering the level from the generator (such as -25dBm) a 3 page menu appears with entries for each of the 20 entries in the correction curve. The first page of the input curve edit menu looks like this: After selecting a entry, such as 1.000MHz +0.7dB, the tinySA switches to a center frequency at the selected frequency and the signal generator can be set to the selected frequency at the specified output level (such as -25dBm) The screen now looks like this: And if the marker is indeed on the selected frequency and the level of the generator has been set correct the OK button will tell the tinySA to use the measured level to correct the select frequency level correction. The menu returns to the list of all the entries in the correction curve and now shows the updated correction value for the previously selected frequency. This entry has changed from +0.7dB to +1.6dB as the measured level was 0.9dB below the specified input level of -25dBm |
